Counting down to to The 3rd Annual Back to the Bricks Heart of Michigan Promotional Tour: Friday, June 15 – Friday, June 22, 2012. June 23 Tour Participants will be able to drive into the Sloan Museum Auto Fair, download the pre-registration form off www.backtothebricks.org.
There will be evening events at all of the stops listed on the schedule: Mt. Pleasant, Grayling, Traverse City, Cadillac, Grand Rapids, Sturgis (two nights) and Grand Blanc. However, there are also many “in between” stops during the days we are touring. The first stop along the trip will be Durand. Learn about history of the railroad, shop and cruise on over to the Fraternal Order of Eagles for a mini car cruise. Shuttles are available from downtown to the Durand Depot so cruisers can leave there cars on the streets of downtown Durand. Other “in between” stops include lunch in Baldwin and a visit to the Shrine of the Pines, Classic Instruments for a tour, Ididit for another behind the scenes peak and lots of things to do in the Sturgis Area!
Any car enthusiast is welcome to come along and bring your street rod, classic, collectable, customs, rat rod, old school, truck, tuner, etc. If you don’t own a cruiser, you can still sign up and come in your daily driver. At the car show events, daily driver participants can still participate in the activities, get discounts, etc., but will have to park close by. Visit the to the Bricks Booth at the “Biggest Tent Sale and Community Expo”, May 30-June 2 at the Davison Knights Of Columbus, 8428 Lapeer Road, Davison, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on May 30 & 31, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on June 1 and 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on June 2. A packet is only $35 and you get an Agenda/Itinerary, a T-shirt, hat, participant window cling, a poster and two lanyards. Tour Participants receive discounts and free items along the tour, just by wearing the lanyards.
